Unable to Use VoiceTube Due to Network Issues
When you are connected to Wi-Fi at a school, company, or public place, video playback may be blocked for the following reasons:
- IP Restrictions: The Wi-Fi's public IP address may be temporarily restricted by YouTube.
- Firewall/Content Filtering: The network administrator at the school or company has set up a firewall that restricts video streaming services.
You can try the following steps:
- Turn off Wi-Fi and switch to your phone's 4G / 5G mobile network.
- Reopen the VoiceTube website or app.
Note: This method will use your mobile data, so please be mindful of your usage. If the problem persists, it's possible that the video itself has been taken down or has regional restrictions.
Video Audio Is Not in English (YouTube Auto-Dubbing Issue)
YouTube's "Audio track" feature sometimes automatically switches the video's audio to your browser's default language. This can result in you hearing a Chinese dub or another language on VoiceTube.
- Go to youtube.com and find any video with multiple audio tracks (you can open this example video to configure the setting).
- Click the "Settings" (gear icon ⚙️) in the bottom-right corner of the video player, then click "Audio track".
- Change it from "Chinese (or another language)" to "English Original".
- Once completed, YouTube will remember your preference. Return to voicetube.com and refresh the page, and the video's audio will be restored to the original English.
